7 Gratitudes

No. 1 // Due to wear and tear our dishes constantly get chipped, cracked or destroyed. When our stock dwindles, it’s time to hunt for replacements. Since I enjoy maintaining a mismatched collection, over the years we simply continue to add to whatever remains. As much as I would love to splurge on beautiful place settings, I’m just not in that stage of life yet. So browsing the discount aisles for gems, I brought home a haul I hoped will last. However, before I could submit this post, we lost a serving bowl already.

No. 2 // The best twenty-five dollars I spent in awhile was this mini kitchen haul of pasta tools from my local happy place.

No. 3 // Bird watching field trip with these two nature lovers took us off course for our own adventures.

No. 4 // Autumnal cocktails that make use of homemade apple butter. Too pretty not to photograph.

No. 5 // My first completed embroidery project. My mother-in-law has been teaching me basic knots over the past year. This is the first project I finished on my own and it brings me immense joy when I see it hanging in my office.

No. 6 // Attended an inspiring wreath-building workshop. The kitchen feels festive with the seasonal adornments so I had a hankering to bake loads of orange-infused pastry before the citrus bowl spoiled.

No. 7 // Naturally, in autumn, we await the first day to sit and watch the fireplace roar. Our family congregates with our books near its warmth at the end of the day. It’s my complete favorite giggling over Garfield comic strips we pass around to one another while we wait for dessert like apple olive oil cake to cool before we tuck in.
